Lash Lifts can give you dramatic lashes without the expense and maintenance of lash extensions. These photos on the site are not retouched and none of the clients are wearing mascara. All have been tinted along with their lash lift so the lashes are darkened. Tinting with a lift is optional and you can always decide to tint later but most go for both for the most dramatic effect.
In my studio I use a special product for lash lifts. I found after several years of doing lash lifts some people's lashes were feeling dry and frazzled afterwards which was frustrating when their lift looked so great to begin with. Just like when you perm your hair, lifting lashes requires the use of products to alter the shape of the hair and give it a semi permanent bend which is where the lift comes from. Most lash lift systems use a chemical called thioglycolate which creates its own heat via a chemical reaction to make a lasting curl and lift the lash. However this process is what can also leave more fragile lashes looking dry and kinky later. I made the shift to a system that offers a true keratin infusion to the lash with the added bonus of lifting it. No more risk of overprocessed lashes! Keratin Lash Infusion is the ONLY lash system currently on the market that allows the infusion of keratin into the lash as part of the process. It is because of this that I am able to repair lashes that have been damaged by other lifts someone had done elsewhere. Because of this infusion lashes are repaired, strengthened and will grow longer and stronger.
I HAVE DEEP SET EYES CAN I STILL HAVE A LIFT?
In many cases the answer is yes! This client has deep set/hooded eyes and we achieved an excellent result for her. Sometimes we have to make some adjustments after to be sure we clear the brow bone but when it is possible it really makes lashes you nomally don't see really pop!
OK, SO I HAVE SHORT LASHES. DOI HAVE ANY OPTIONS?
Yes in most cases. While there are occasions lashes are to short to place on the lash shield to perform the service most of the time we can do it and should so we can infuse the keratin to help get growth.
Here are short lashes AND hooded, deep set eyes. Her result was fantastic and the results really lit up her whole face.
This one is near and dear to me and working on her let me learn to work with more challenging eye shapes. We also had a little fun with her brows but that's another page.
Check out my Facebook and Instagram for lots more lash lift pictures. So many eye shapes and lash lengths and all with beautiful unique results!
WHAT IF I WANT STILL LONGER LASHES? DOES THAT MEAN MY ONLY OPTION IS LASH EXTENTIONS WITH EXPENSIVE 2-3 WEEK MAINTENANCE?
Absolutely not! While a lash lift will make them appear longer because your natural lash is now lifted up (thus it appears longer) you also have the option to use lash growth serum to grow your natural lashes longer and thicker which will make a lash lift that much more dramatic. Taking care of natural lashes, lifted or not, is always easier than the maintenance of extensions. Many people don't realize the upkeep and care that lash extensions require. Extensions are a great option -- they just are not for everyone. It's hard for a mascara junkie to do without and extensions really should not have mascara put on them. Something to keep in mind when deciding "do I lift" or "do I want extensions".
HOW DO ACTUALLY I GET THEM LONGER THEN WITHOUT DOING EXTENSIONS?
There are many lash serums on the market today and they really work! From prescription Latisse to over the counter brands the main thing is to get one and use it daily and be consistent. With continued use I see many lashes grow to amazing lengths.
Many clients with shorter lashes will also get started with a lift so there is some immediate improvement in how long the look and then begin using the growth serum. Results with the growth serum vary but most will see results quickly with maximum benefits after 2-3 months of daily use. After that you only need to use the serum every 2-3 days to maintain your results.
HOW LONG DOES A LASH LIFT LAST?
Lash lifts last approximately 4-6 weeks. Some last longer but that is the average. If you hair grows really fast your lashes will do the same and turnover faster. We don't realize but just like on our head our lashes shed every 30-45 days. Some a little slower but that is the average. Once you notice your lift has more straight lashes (your new lashes) than curled lashes (the ones you had when we lifted them that have not shed yet) then it's simply time to refresh it and lift them again.
